Hello Derek,
I am just wondering if phpBB 3.0 support will be included within a future release. I know it is hard and takes a long time to develop a script such as this, I am simply asking the question.
Also,,,
Payment Support: Has any work been done on this? My suggestion a long time ago was to have a points system like the echophp script. Each time a page is viewed a user would loose a point, and they could purchase more from the Admin CP via Paypal. 1 Point would allow 1 add free page view.
WildCard DNS: It seems that quite a few other scripts are now requiring that users have wildcard DNS, will this script be requiring that as well?
Kind Regards,
Simon

Hi Simon,
phpBB 3.0 support is being added. So far I have a running prototype of it, but still have to convert all of the Multi-Forums script templates (like new_forum.php, etc) to the new phpBB theme. I might just decide to make my own so I don't have to worry about doing this again in the future. Right now I am just working out some issues with phpBB (a caching problem and a few other things).
I plan to add payment support in the future. It will primarily be ad removal and charge to create a forum. Could you please expand on the points system idea? Possibly a link to this echophp script you are talking about?
As of right now, wildcard DNS is not used. It may be used in the future when I add subdomain support, but even when I do that, I won't require it because there will be a setting to use the current method (/accessname/ instead of a subdomain).

Can you send me the files of the 3.x.x multiforum? I just want to test it and compare with other scripts.

Google is your friend.
It isn't free btw.
Derek, I hope your project will get more serious. I would really like a paid support.

Wow that script looks really good. They definitely have some features I like!
I have no plans to do paid support due to time constraints...

I have an Idea for the payment part?
Say like people come on your site and post *quality* topics/replies and they earn points for it, and they can turn around and use the points to 'pay' for the ads to be removed for like a month. I'm sure that'd help out with those who don't won't the ads, yet can't afford to pay money to your paypal to have them removed.
